Camrose & Area Rideshare

The 'Camrose Area Rideshare' (funded by the Government of Alberta) launched November 6, 2019. Previously known as 'Camrose Carpool' (which launched March 14, 2019), Camrose Area Rideshare is a web-based carpooling program with a phone-in option that is designed to enable local & rural residents to connect and and carpool, creating alternative options for shared transportation.

The objective of the two-year pilot project is to provide rural residents with access to public transportation services and provide information that will help address the gaps in the transit system that are not being served by an existing provider.

Users can post or view rides through the Camrose Area Rideshare website at or use the call-in feature to have an administrator post on their behalf. The program is free to use and has user ratings, secure login via email or Facebook and mapping to help ensure accountability and safety. The website is mobile friendly.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can call the City of Camrose to receive a registration package or pick up a package in person at City Hall.
